Robotics and AI are at the forefront of every young hopeful’s mind. ‘How can we use this new technology to change the face of the industry?’ they ask themselves. The answer is simple: sparingly.
It may seem counterintuitive to some, but consider a problem and all its possible solutions carefully before calling on a team of developers and engineers to reinvent the wheel.
The first step to solving a problem is understanding it and then looking at what has come before. Do the historic solutions seem hazardous, slow or even impossible to implement today? Well, now is the time to turn an innovative mind to technology.
The key here is the mind applied to the solution. We could, for example, use a Bluetooth device to link a laptop to the projector so that a presentation can be projected, but then the hassle comes of downloading the software that allows it and needing WIFI and a clear… Honestly, plugging in the cable was a whole lot easier.
In short: Technology is a boon to most industries, saving time and money where implemented correctly. Where done without need, it seems only a pretentious annoyance.
